Very encouraging post for us whom have not heard the call to foreign missions, but want to be faithful in plodding to the projimos, our neighbors, where the Lord has placed us.
What a gracious and meaningful post, Tim!! Serving God with a quiet confidence knowing that He is the one at work. The image of simply being a branch is brilliant!
Loving without conditions or expectations is a love that reflects God’s patience and generosity, even when people disappoint or paths feel unresponsive. That was something you modeled well when we were in ministry together!
Our belief in prayer and God’s promises enables us to persevere, even when progress is unseen. May 2026 be another year where we are confident that God is working behind the scenes for His glory. From one plodder to another, Blessings!
Thanks Jen. I enjoyed writing this post as it drew my mind back to the "drudgery" that is ministry. But when we are serving God it is a beautiful drudgery because each step is an affirmation that our hope is found in him, and not ourselves.
I wish the best for you and your family this Christmas and the new year that lays ahead. Thanks for following my writing, it brings a smile to my face to be reminded you are out there. :)

Thanks Chanda. “Let us not grow weary in doing good”
